Noha Azab is a professor of Rheumatology and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Medicine at Al Kasr Alaini, Cairo University. Rheumatology is a field of medicine concerned with the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatic illnesses. A rheumatologist deals with patients with diseases and ailments of the joints, muscles, tendons, bones and other connective tissues. People visit rheumatologists after experiencing conditions, such as long-term back pain, gout, lupus, osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, tendinitis, and psoriatic arthritis. Rheumatologists are trained to look for signs of inflammation including, swelling, warmth, redness, nodules under the skin, and rashes. Moreover, Rheumatology is dedicated to treating immune-mediated disorders of the musculoskeletal system, soft tissues, autoimmune diseases, vasculitis, and inherited connective tissue disorders.
